Artelia Foundation and Artelia Philippines worked with Enfants du Mekong, a French NGO that aids students from low-income households to have a better life, on a 3-day CSR training program in Tuguegarao City.
In the span of 3 days, our volunteer employees taught the students some skills that would be able to prepare and guide them for their future. The students were taught job application skills, money- and time management, the basics of MS Excel and PowerPoint, public speaking, AutoCAD, Taekwondo, etc.
Artelia’s volunteer employees shared their experiences in being part of this CSR initiative.
“Poverty is not just a lack of money, it is not having the capability to realize one’s full potential as a human being.” Rikke expressed that our aim was to help the scholars to get an idea of their full potential. We hope and believe that we helped leading them in the right direction. Kristine shared that being part of this CSR program was a game-changer as it influenced her life both personally and professionally. The students there taught her a lot as well and that the whole experience was memorable. Our volunteer employees were reminded that the true joy in life is giving. Robin recalled that it was an emotional experience for him because it brought him great joy and he wanted to take part in future CSR programs in Artelia. He also highlighted that we give value to these kinds of endeavors.
Giving back to our community, rewards us with gratifying rewards. According to Ms. Rita, a volunteer employee, the CSR initiatives of Artelia are a good place for us to be grounded and understand what it means to be truly human.
“These 3 days activities brought me a lot of new things: recollecting pending endeavours, molding new abilities, unleashing the hidden talents I have. What Artelia team shared to us will surely engulf us with wisdom. It will help EdM scholars to explore more about themselves.” – Favio Batulan, 2nd year Civil Engineering student
As part of our CSR Commitments and Targets 2021 – 2025, we have chosen to contribute to youth empowerment by offering skills support through workshops and training. In Artelia, we aspire to help the youth cultivate their skills and discover their potential as these will be the foundation of their personal and professional growth.
The Artelia Foundation, a philanthropic organisation created in 2006, bases its assignments as a priority on an original form of skills-based sponsorship. Over its 14 years of existence, the Artelia Foundation has supported more than 200 projects for 80 different associations. More than 330 employees have carried out assignments with the Foundation in 28 different countries.
