On October 22, 2022, Artelia Philippines won the Le Trophée Bleu Sustainability Business Awards: People Award in the recent “75th Gala Anniversary: France-Philippines Diplomatic Relations” by French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines.

The Le Trophée Bleu Sustainability Business Awards: People Category is focused on initiatives by companies in helping end poverty in all its forms, and ensuring that people live in dignity, equality and in a healthy environment.

Artelia Philippines and Artelia Foundation designed the Sustainable Youth Development Program that started last February to June 2022. The program implemented various topics that will help and guide the underprivileged youths from Bantu Philippines.

Bantu Philippines is a non-profit organization that uses Capoeria Angola to reach out to the youths in the slum of San Andres Bukid in Manila. Taking activities rooted in the musical and physical traditions of Capoeira Angola and translating them into productive learning experiences designed to help at-risk children and youth build behaviors and skills however it was not enough. Bantu Philippines began supporting the youth in getting and maintaining jobs but realized that was very hard. In collaboration with Bantu Philippines, the Sustainable Youth Development program provided training seminars that would help and guide underprivileged youths for their future.

Together with Bantu Philippines, Artelia Philippines is grateful and humbled to have received this award.

We will continue to strive in helping the community and bring out the best that they can be.
