The solidarity movement, Community Pantries, has evolved in the Philippines during the COVID-19 pandemic. Filipinos are helping each other by sharing food according to their abilities and receiving food according to their needs.
Artelia in the Philippines has organized two food collections for a local community pantry. We have experienced that our employees are happy and willing to help and share with the people in need. At the last collection, a total of 75 kilograms of rice, 50 kilograms of vegetables and a lot of canned and dried goods were collected from our two offices.
Through the local community pantry, we have helped feeding hundreds of people in the area, who otherwise wouldn’t be able to get food on the table. A small deed from an employee is a big deal for a starving family.
The Artelia Foundation, a philanthropic organisation created in 2006, bases its assignments as a priority on an original form of skills-based sponsorship. Over its 14 years of existence, the Artelia Foundation has supported more than 200 projects for 80 different associations. More than 330 employees have carried out assignments with the Foundation in 28 different countries.
